CT, MRI, PET/CT, and Interventions in Cancer Patients: A Practical, Interactive Course
It is our pleasure to invite you to our 2nd Oncologic Imaging Course (OIC), to be held once again in the city of Dubrovnik.
Cancer continues to be the leading cause of death worldwide, and the role of imaging is growing in every facet of cancer care. As a result,
oncologic imaging now comprises a major portion of any radiologic practice. The knowledge required for proper image interpretation is complex,
specific to each type of cancer, and constantly evolving. Not surprisingly, many radiologists feel overwhelmed when faced with oncologic imaging studies.
To interpret oncologic imaging studies with confidence, radiologists need both instruction in the fundamentals of oncologic imaging and continuous
updates on the latest techniques. This course, taught by renowned oncologic imaging specialists, will provide practical, up-to-date reviews of imaging
approaches for the most common cancers in the chest, abdomen and pelvis. It will also feature an extended, in-depth review of best practices in breast imaging,
covering basic concepts as well as emerging clinical issues and advanced imaging techniques. Through interactive teaching and problem-solving case presentations,
the course will improve radiologists’ confidence in interpreting oncologic images. Didactic lectures combined with interactive case presentations
(using an audience response system) will further enhance attendees’ practical knowledge. Workshops will allow additional interaction with the faculty,
and computer workstations will provide hands-on experience.
